Kory & Amanda - Toronto Island Proposal
April 2024
Kory is one of the most organized clients I have met to date. When he reached out to me about photographing his proposal, he had a full itinerary planned out. He had maps and reference photos, and everything was scheduled out.
The only thing that he couldn’t plan was the weather…
Luckily for us, after a week of stormy weather and some messages back and forth the day before he planned to propose, the rain held off and the overcast sky gave us some beautiful soft light to work with.
We made our way to Ward’s Island, which he chose after seeing some skyline photos online. I kept myself anonymous as I travelled with them by ferry, and made my way over to the proposal location.
After the proposal I left Kory and Amanda alone to tour the island until the ferry to return arrived. I spent some time wandering the island, which was quiet thanks to the cooler spring weather.
Once it was time to head back, I once again met up with the newly engaged couple and captured a few more photos of them on the ferry.
It was my first time crossing over to Toronto Island for a shoot and I’m eager to go back. Having outdoor space like that is a nice escape from the city and the views of the skyline are really beautiful.
If you’re looking for a photographer, feel free to reach out! With even warmer weather on the horizon, this is the perfect chance to book a photography session.
